Position Summary: Crawford University invites applications from qualified professionals for the role of Registrar. As the Chief Administrative Officer, the Registrar will oversee the daily non-financial operations of the university, serving as Secretary to key statutory bodies including the Governing Council and Senate. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong administrative acumen, impeccable character, and demonstrated leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Chief Administrative Officer under the Vice-Chancellor
  • Manage daily administrative activities, excluding financial matters
  • Act as Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Congregation, Convocation, and other statutory bodies
  • Provide vision and strategic direction for university administration
  • Uphold high standards of discipline, integrity, and institutional ethics

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of a Second Class Lower Honours degree and a Master's degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution
  • At least 15 years of cognate experience in university administration, with a minimum of 5 years as a Deputy Registrar
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies is mandatory
  • Proficiency in ICT and administrative software tools
  • Must not be older than 60 years at the time of appointment
  • Prior experience as a Registrar is an added advantage
  • Possession of NYSC discharge or exemption certificate is required

Terms of Appointment:

  • Appointment is for a single term of 5 years
  • Remuneration and benefits align with standards in Nigerian federal, state, and private universities
  • Additional benefits and privileges as approved by the Governing Council
