Job Summary:
We are hiring Land Speculators to identify and assess potential land acquisition opportunities in Ode-Remo and surrounding areas. Candidates must be knowledgeable about local topography, land boundaries, and community dynamics. Strong negotiation, verification, and coordination skills are essential for successful land mapping, documentation, and acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate land identification and mapping using local terrain knowledge and OVITAL mapping tools
- Build strong relationships with local communities to ease negotiation and acquisition processes
- Inspect land boundaries, verify corner markers, and gather information through community interaction
- Perform due diligence by validating landowner identity and ownership documents
- Assess and report landowners’ willingness to sell and provide acquisition insights
- Collaborate with surveyors and landowners for accurate land survey and verification
- Submit verified land data to the Land Department for review and documentation
- Utilize mobile mapping apps and digital tools for field reporting and record-keeping
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Land Management, Real Estate, Geography, or related fields preferred
- Previous experience in real estate, land acquisition, or surveying is an advantage
- Strong grasp of topographic mapping, land boundary verification, and due diligence
- Proficiency with OVITAL mapping software and mobile surveying apps
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to relate well with local communities and navigate cultural nuances
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working outdoors independently
