Job Summary

We are hiring a Laboratory Technician to conduct soil, asphalt, concrete, and field tests in compliance with construction industry standards. The role involves sample analysis, quality control, and equipment calibration, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in material testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates to ensure compliance with construction standards.

• Conduct permeability, strength, and material acceptance tests for soil, concrete, and asphalt.

• Record and document samples, test results, and reports accurately.

• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.

• Monitor and calibrate testing equipment to maintain accuracy.

• Assist in quality control and ensure construction materials meet industry specifications.

• Handle other laboratory-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

• For Laboratory Assistants: Minimum of School Certificate or OND, with experience in a construction laboratory.

• For Laboratory Technicians & Senior Technicians: Degree or HND in Civil Engineering, Geosciences, or Construction Technology.

• 2 – 5 years of experience in a construction laboratory, specializing in soil, asphalt, concrete, and field tests.

Key Competencies

• Strong understanding of construction laboratory operations.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in test execution.

• Ability to perform and interpret various laboratory tests.

• Team-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in construction testing.
