Broadway Restaurant and Bar Limited, a leading hospitality and food business, is seeking a talented Chef to join our team in Abuja (FCT).
Responsibilities:
- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment.
- Study recipes and gather necessary ingredients.
- Prepare and cook food promptly.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to kitchen staff.
- Inform wait staff about daily specials.
- Ensure appealing plate presentation.
- Assist and oversee cooks as needed.
- Modify recipes to meet customer preferences (e.g., reduce salt, remove dairy).
- Monitor food stock and place orders.
- Check food freshness and discard expired items.
- Experiment with new recipes and ingredients.
- Maintain health and safety standards in the kitchen.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of work experience as a Chef.
- Hands-on experience with kitchen equipment (e.g., grills, pasta makers).
- Strong knowledge of culinary, baking, and pastry techniques.
- Excellent leadership and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Up-to-date with modern cooking techniques and sanitation regulations.
- Culinary school diploma preferred.
Salary:
₦200,000 - ₦250,000 Monthly
